About Maggie
Hi guys! My name is Maggie, I am a fused glass artist. I am working out of Brooklyn, NY, but first learned the art of fused glass when I worked at an art studio in Pennsylvania. As I got more comfortable in the process, I started teaching others, and have now developed my designs.
“Magia Vitrea” means glass magic, and that is what I hope it brings you!
I love trying new designs and am constantly innovating as I find new inspiration and beauty in the world. Most of my pieces are based on nature or food, both areas of love and passion for me. I'm always happy to work on custom commissions if there's a certain color or idea that you would like to see!
I have always been inspired by color and light and that is what initially drew me to glass. I love making unique pieces that can lighten up a space or add something playful to an outfit. No two pieces are the same and each is designed by me, handmade, and a little bit wonky - just like real life.
What is fused glass?
Fused glass is created by layering glass sheets within a kiln and firing them at high temperatures to melt the glass together. Maggie works mainly in tack fusing, where the glass retains more of its original shape. Details are often painted on before firing, which makes each piece unique.

Thank you so much for choosing to buy one of Maggie's creations! Please allow up to 2 weeks for preparation and shipping. Packaging is made from sustainable materials and is fully compostable where applicable.
Materials
Maggie uses COE 96 glass and E700 adhesive. Metal findings are listed where possible; if you have sensitivities, she can make custom pieces using specific metals on request.
